Mission Statement (by the way the image above is a microscopic image of red wine!)

I am a private individual and have held the domain name www.stalybridge.org.uk for over 15 years. This site is optimised for viewing on mobile devices.

I came to Stalybridge in 1970 with my parents who emigrated to Australia in 1958 - they were both born and bred in Stalybridge. Educated at Stalybridge School for Girls, Waterloo Road, Stalybridge and Tameside College, Beaufort Road in Ashton, I have worked in all over the UK, but always returned to Stalybridge.
My uncles were members of Stalybridge Brass Band. I  married a wonderful Stalybridge man and for over 30 years, with two grown up children who both attended local schools in Stalybridge, I have lived and work in Stalybridge.

The website began life as a tool to help me learn how to design websites and pass knowledge on. I will also include some of my personal memories and favourite things that I have learned, throughout my journey in life - for your pleasure!

This is a non-profit, non-commercial website - gathering information from a variety of sources, with permission and accrediations, about Stalybridge, for the people who live or have lived here.

All information is given in good faith and I welcome any suggestions and ideas that you may wish to be included in the site.
If you are holding a charitable event and would like some free publicity, please do contact me for consideration and if you have any memories that you would like to share, please get in touch.

My contact email is: stalybridgelass@yahoo.com
